  • onion, finely diced
  • tomato, finely diced
  • green chili, minced
  • cumin seeds
  • turmeric
  • red chili powder
  • garam masala
  • oil
  • cilantro, chopped
  • salt

Ingredients

  • 300 g paneer, crumbled
  • 1 medium onion, finely diced
  • 1 medium tomato, finely diced
  • 1 whole green chili, minced
  • 0.5 tsp cumin seeds
  • 0.25 tsp turmeric
  • 0.5 tsp red chili powder
  • 0.5 tsp garam masala
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a wide pan; add cumin seeds and let them sizzle.
  2. Add onion and green chili; sauté until translucent, about 3 minutes.
  3. Add tomato and all spice powders; cook until tomato softens, 3 minutes.
  4. Add crumbled paneer, stir well to combine with masala.
  5. Cook on medium heat 3–4 minutes, stirring frequently.
  6. Garnish with cilantro. Serve with pav (bread rolls), paratha, or as is.
