- 237 mlbuttermilk
- 178 mlall-purpose flour
- 59 mlcornstarch
- 8 mlsmoked paprika
- 5 mlgarlic powder
- 3 mlonion powder
- 1 mlcayenne pepper
- 5 mlsalt
- 3 mlblack pepper
Ingredients
- 2 lb chicken tenderloins
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 0.75 cup all-purpose flour
- 0.25 cup cornstarch
- 1.5 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 0.5 tsp onion powder
- 0.25 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Soak chicken tenders in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes (or overnight).
- Mix flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, salt, and pepper.
- Dredge each tender in the flour mixture, pressing firmly.
- Air-fry at 400°F for 15–18 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and cooked through.
- Alternatively, pan-fry in 1-inch of oil at 350°F for 4–5 minutes per side.
- Serve with hot sauce and honey, or low-sugar BBQ sauce.
