Protein Flapjacks with Nut Butter

Chewy oat flapjacks enriched with whey protein and peanut butter. A British snack classic made fitness-friendly with 10g protein each, ready in 35 minutes.

Ingredients

  • rolled oats
  • vanilla whey protein
  • peanut butter
  • honey
  • coconut oil
  • banana
  • dark chocolate chips
  • pinch of salt

Ingredients

  • 250 g rolled oats
  • 50 g vanilla whey protein
  • 80 g peanut butter
  • 60 g honey
  • 40 g coconut oil
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 30 g dark chocolate chips
  • 1 pinch pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven 170°C. Mash banana. Melt peanut butter, honey and coconut oil together.
  2. Stir in banana, oats, protein powder and salt.
  3. Press into lined 20cm tin. Scatter chocolate chips.
  4. Bake 20–25 minutes until golden at edges but soft in centre.
  5. Cool completely in tin before cutting into 10 bars.
