Ingredients

  • chicken pieces (thighs/drumsticks)
  • white rice
  • onion
  • bell pepper (yellow)
  • tomato
  • garlic cloves
  • saffron or turmeric
  • chicken broth
  • olive oil
  • salt
  • parsley

Ingredients

  • 600 g chicken pieces (thighs/drumsticks)
  • 250 g white rice
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 piece bell pepper (yellow)
  • 2 medium tomato
  • 3 piece garlic cloves
  • 2 g saffron or turmeric
  • 600 ml chicken broth
  • 20 ml olive oil
  • 6 g salt
  • 15 g parsley

Instructions

  1. Season chicken with salt and garlic. Brown in olive oil, 5 min per side. Remove.
  2. Sauté onion, pepper, and tomato in the same pot until soft.
  3. Add rice and toast 2 minutes. Add turmeric and broth.
  4. Nestle chicken back in, bring to boil, then reduce heat. Cook covered 25 minutes.
  5. Rest 5 minutes, fluff rice, and garnish with parsley.
