  • masa harina
  • warm water
  • ground beef
  • refried beans
  • tomatoes
  • onion
  • serrano
  • Mexican cream
  • Cotija cheese
  • lettuce
  • vegetable oil

Ingredients

  • 300 g masa harina
  • 250 ml warm water
  • 400 g ground beef
  • 200 g refried beans
  • 250 g tomatoes
  • 100 g onion
  • 2 units serrano
  • 80 ml Mexican cream
  • 80 g Cotija cheese
  • 80 g lettuce
  • 60 ml vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Mix masa with water and salt, form into thick discs, cook on comal.
  2. While warm, pinch up edges to create a rim.
  3. Fry sopes in oil until lightly golden.
  4. Brown ground beef with onion, serrano and diced tomato.
  5. Spread beans on sopes, top with beef mixture.
  6. Garnish with cream, Cotija and shredded lettuce.
